March 6, 2009 – Cowichan Theatre, Duncan, BC |

Below are photos and a review from Girlicious’ second stop at the Cowichan Theatre in Duncan, BC on March 6th, 2009. Thanks Karyn!
Rap dance hit Duncan big time during Friday’s visit by the Girlicious quartet opened by hip-hop dude Danny Fernandez.
Their lively show, packed mostly with 700 local teens and their patient parents, lacked promiscuity and delivered great modern-dance moves.
Folks who expected the brand of sleazy sexuality peddled by Britney Spears and her wannabes likely left disappointed.
Instead, Girlicious dancers Nichole, Natalie, Tiffanie, and Chrystina unloaded high-octane, synchronized moves throughout the 10 songs pulled from their CD Like Me.
Despite being a prefab act from TV’s Pussy Cat Dolls formation contest, Girlicious imported quality routines that would have impressed teacher Reija Best of the valley’s Carlson’s School of Dance.
And forget notions of skimpy, ultra-revealing outfits.
Girlicious’ gals wore practical gear that would perhaps be standard at most hip-hop dance recitals: plaid mini-skirts and halter tops of various colours.
These girls weren’t painted models — they came to dance, not prance and talk.
From their first routines Baby Talk and IOU 1, to My Boo and Liar, Liar, the expressive quartet was in perpetual motion and caught on the adoring crowd’s battery of cellphone cameras.
Well-rehearsed rapper Danny Fernandez and his two sidemen warmed up the Girlicious show that was properly protected by heavy security.
Those two guys, decked out in black outfits and fedoras, nicely framed tattooed, T-shirted Fernandez during serpentine moves coiled in some improv action.
Short on art, long on dance, Friday’s relatively short 90-minute show was a pleasantly professional surprise and a solid evening’s entertainment for Cowichan’s kids.
Rap-dance show rating: 8 feet out of 10 – SOURCE

March 7, 2009 – Level Niteclub, Kelowna, BC |

Below are photos and a review from Girlicious’ third stop at Level Niteclub in Kelowna, BC on March 7th, 2009.
Saturday night the Level Night Club featured sexy, seductive and sultry females, but it wasn’t just the normal bar patrons.
Girlicious, an American pop group, hit the stage and performed to a capacity crowd.
Natalie Mejia, Nichole Cordova, Tiffanie Anderson and Chrystina Sayers were four strangers amongst thousands of talented singers and dancers. All who were auditioning to compete on the CW network’s smash television reality show “The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.”
The Girlicious MySpace page indicates that “The concept was simple. A panel of judges, that included Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, Geffen Records Chairman Ron Fair and multi-platinum recording artist Lil Kim, would run the girls through a “Pussycat Dolls Boot Camp.” Challenges designed to determine which girls were most ready to have their lives transformed and super stardom thrust upon them as they became the next great girl band.”
Though the show was American based, the ladies have received more attention from Brazilian and Canadian audiences.
Girlicious have been seen, interviewed and showcased on MuchMusic and MusiquePlus multiple times. The official debut single “Like Me” reached number one in Canada.
Kelowna showed that they also love Girlicious and Girlicious gave the love back.
The talented foursome have amazing voices, unbelievable dance abilities and abundant charm. They spoke often with the audience and even brought two lucky contestants on stage for an impromptu dance competition.
Though their music repertoire is not filled with hundreds of music selections, the songs they do have were delivered in full force and with energy.
Opening the show was Universal Music Recording Artist Danny Fernandes who added a male touch to the evening. He delivered charisma and choreographed numbers as the perfect build up to Girlicious. – SOURCE

Fans Gone Wild For Girlicious |

Below are fan photos of Girlicious along with a review from the opening night of their third Canadian Tour at The Royal Theatre in Victoria, BC with Danny Fernandes as the opening act.
They were there to scream for Girlicious and in the eyes (and ears) of some, they behaved badly. But maybe it was just a difference of opinion over how you’re supposed to behave at a concert.
Dozens of Girlicious fans rushed to the front of the Royal Theatre stage to get closer to the U.S. pop act. Some climbed on speakers, others danced in the aisles, blocking the view and knocking against those still in their seats.
Nothing was broken and no injuries were reported at Thursday night’s Victoria show, attended by about 600, mostly teen girls.
